Classic Timber and Granite

The owners of this home love Period Furniture, particularly in the styles of Chippendale and Louie the Sixteenth. Our client wanted a kitchen that complimented these Classic Period Furniture styles and their rich timber colours and French Polished finishes.

For this Kitchen we chose Nyatoh a red hardwood with a figurative grain with similar characteristics to the hard to acquire African Mahogany which suited the desired style and then we toned and polished this kitchen with 70 percent Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. In addition to the Leadlight Glass display units we also incorporated into the design a Black Miela Semi-Integrated Dishwasher, 10 Drawers with Blum Full Extension runners, a Timber Tambour Roll Front Appliance Unit and a Built-in Microwave - Grill oven where we also custom made for our client another one of our built-in Microwave Stealth Shelf units; whereby providing additional put-down space where needed.

Fortunately this room was large; making it well suited to the darker tones that are typical of this furniture style. In addition to making this new Timber Kitchen, we also made the matching Wainscot Paneling to run around the adjoining walls, which we topped with additional chair-rail moldings, to perfectly maintain this Classic Old English look throughout the room.

Our client selected 40mm Adelaide Black Granite benchtops with bullnose edges and contrasted this with Salmon Granite Splashbacks. We included LG paired Refrigerators, Black Ceramic Cooktop; blending into the Granite Bench  and Black AEG Pyrolytic Combi-Steam Underbench Oven with Stainless trim. We also laid for our client a white Quarella Perlato Appia marble floor for our client that matched the adjacent carpet colour and bringing these areas together.
